DOE Office of Advanced Scientific Computing Research Launches Webzine

The Office of Advanced Scientific Computing Research (ASCR) in the Department of Energy’s Office of Science this week launched a new online publication highlighting a range of computational research efforts supported by the office. The first issue of the magazine, called ASCR Discovery, includes articles about how HPC is being used to understand the role of turbulence in combustion, a look at a new computational chemistry software framework, news from ASCR-supported research at two universities, and a profile of MPI, the technology developed at Argonne National Lab that is essential to parallel computing. ASCR Discovery can be found at: http://ascr-discovery.science.doe.gov/index.shtml.
