First-ever Power Architecture Developer Conference

Hosted by Power.org, the Conference Will Be Held September 24-25, 2007, in Austin, Texas: This industry’s first-ever vendor-neutral event to focus on technical training and developer networking for a broad set of Power Architecture solutions, the Power Architecture Developer Conference, will be held in Austin, Texas, September 24 - 25, 2007. Hosted by Power.org, the open collaborative organization that enables, develops and promotes Power Architecture technology, the inaugural conference will present the latest technology innovations, ground-breaking demonstrations, and practical design information. Technical papers from the design engineering community supporting the theme, “Breaking Down Barriers to Innovation,” and that offer advice on the development of Power Architecture solutions will be considered through April 20, 2007. Information and registration details can be found at its Web site. “The diverse range of topics, expert presentations, interactive events and exhibits at the inaugural Power Architecture Developer Conference will present exceptional opportunities for the cross-pollination of ideas and for the exchange of the latest technical know-how around Power Architecture technology,” said Michael Paczan, Chairman of the Power.org Technical Committee. “The Power Architecture community represents one of the most experienced and diverse system design communities in the world. This conference extends our commitment to enhancing the Power Architecture ecosystem and enabling innovative,” he continued. The Power Architecture Developer Conference is the only event to showcase the full depth and breadth of the Power Architecture technology across market segments. The conference will provide a forum for a balanced, independent discussion of Power Architecture technology and its applications, designed to inspire ideas and innovation. More than 500 electronics designers, developers, academics and investors will join dozens of solutions vendors for two days of technical sessions, hands-on labs, engaging keynotes and vendor demonstrations. Technology Panels will engage industry experts and attendees in face-to-face discussions around current trends and standards, as well as the future of Power Architecture technology and its markets. The Power Architecture Lab will provide a hands-on environment for exploring readily available, innovative Power Architecture platforms. Trainers will deliver step-by-step demonstrations of real-world development projects. The Power Architecture Landscape presents an open environment for interacting with product and technology demonstrations from more than 20 vendors. Attendees can discuss design challenges and explore potential Power Architecture applications with industry experts. Call for Technical Papers The Power Architecture Developer Conference was created to provide technical education and industry interaction across a wide range of interests and applications, from automotive SoC architectures to supercomputing applications. The technical program will deliver more than 40 hours of information in hardware and software virtualization; Power Architecture technology in compute-intensive solutions, digital media applications, and multi-core solutions; embedded perspectives; software development for the Power Architecture platform; and globally green Power Architecture technology. Proposals should be submitted online at its Web site by April 20, 2007. Power Architecture technology offers the broadest, most diverse market penetration of any microprocessor in the industry today. It is the digital heartbeat of all three, next-generation gaming console platforms and the electronic brains of the world's highest performance supercomputers. Power Architecture technology is also the leading platform for enterprise servers, automotive systems (powertrain, advanced safety and telematics), wireless and wireline infrastructure, and enterprise routing and switching.
