NCSA Position Notice - National Center for Supercomputing Applications - University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign - Assistant Director - Overview: The National Center for Supercomputing Applications at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign has one Assistant Director position available. This position is responsible for the management, operations, and marketing of NCSA's highly successful Private Sector Program (PSP). NCSA's PSP program has bi-directional benefit, exposing academic research teams to "real-world" problems and helping efficiently transfer technology from NCSA to American industry. The Assistant Director has responsibility for the continued evolution of the program, support of recruitment efforts of new partners, partner management, and the normal daily operations. Qualifications: B.A./B.S in Marketing, Business Administration or related field required. Alternative degree fields will be considered/accepted if accompanied by equivalent experience (depending on nature and depth of experience as it relates to current NCSA technologies). 5 years experience in marketing or product/program management. 2-5 years proven experience in high-tech or scientific industry/sector, experience in academic setting preferred. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical partners/staff. This is an academic professional position at NCSA and is a 12-month, 100%-time appointment with regular University benefits.
