Terrascale Technologies Announces Partnership With Graphstream

Terrascale Technologies, leading developers of next generation storage solutions for enterprise-class cluster and grid applications, today announced a partnership with GraphStream, a supplier of advanced scalable technical/visual computing systems and associated services. Effective immediately, GraphStream will integrate Terrascale’s Storage Brick into its Scalable Computing Platform (SCP) systems. Terrascale Storage Bricks are high performance storage servers that deliver unprecedented throughput performance and scalability. Loaded with Terrascale’s TerraGrid software, Storage Bricks create high capacity, high throughput storage arrays that seamlessly integrate into Ethernet and InfiniBand network fabrics. With input/output (I/O) rates scalable to 10 Gigabytes per second, arrays of Storage Bricks offer unmatched storage access performance, while protecting data integrity and availability. “GraphStream has established itself as a leader in deployments of scalable technical/visual computing systems that are based on mainstream commercial off-the-shelf components,” said Gautham Sastri, President and CEO, Terrascale Technologies. “The integration of Terrascale Storage Bricks into GraphStream's SCP systems delivers the added dimension of superior storage performance and capacity scaling,” Mr. Sastri added. “Terrascale has one of the very few storage solutions that can massively scale both capacity and performance in a single file system, and is also shared fully among many client systems,” said Craig Dunwoody, CEO, GraphStream. “The innovative TerraGrid architecture avoids key bottlenecks that limit the scaling efficiency of competing solutions. Terrascale's technology makes it possible for us to deliver a leading-edge InfiniBand-attached storage capability in our SCP systems,” Mr. Dunwoody concluded.
