Sun to Host Its First SeeBeyond Horizons Community Summit

Leaders in SOA, Web Services and Business Integration Gather to Improve Business and IT Agility -- Sun Microsystems, the creator and leading advocate of Java technology, is hosting the Horizons 2006 Summit in San Francisco, May 16-18, 2006, the first Horizons conference since Sun acquired SeeBeyond in June 2005. An adjunct to the JavaONE 2006 conference, the summit is a continuation of the annual SeeBeyond Horizons event for IT systems architects and business executives interested in leveraging their existing IT systems and building new IT projects quickly and cost-effectively using business integration technologies and service-oriented architectures (SOAs). This year, the Sun Java Composite Application Platform Suite (CAPS) will debut at Horizons. Java CAPS is a leading platform for developing service oriented architectures that improve business integration and agility. It is the first product that combines the former SeeBeyond ICAN Suite with Sun's integration and communications software. Also new this year, the conference session includes a track on Sun Java Enterprise System software--including Sun Java System Portal Server and Sun Java System Identity Manager. The Horizons 2006 Summit boasts three days of information-packed sessions--45 in all: - Get a behind-the-scenes look at cutting-edge business integration projects - Meet SOA pioneers who have implemented leading solutions using Sun technology - Get insider tips and answers to your toughest SOA and Web services technical questions "For more than a decade, customers have returned to Horizons year after year because they receive invaluable information to help them get the most from their business integration initiatives," said Joe Keller, vice president of marketing, SOA and integration platforms, for Sun. "We have seen tremendous customer momentum since the SeeBeyond acquisition and we expect this to be our best Horizons so far, packed with more sessions, more success stories and more business results than ever."
