Small Tree Communications, designers and manufacturers of high-performance networking products for Apple’s Mac OS X, recently announced that they have received additional investment funding in the amount of $285,000 from the Chippewa Valley Angel Investing Network, a group of investors who are interested in promoting companies and businesses in the Chippewa Valley. Small Tree will utilize the investment for further product development and brand marketing efforts for BlazeFS, a high-performance file system driving data to the maximum speed of a Gigabit Ethernet link. With Small Tree Communications scheduled to receive $3.4 million in Federal Defense funding for developing advanced command, control and communications technology for the United States Army, the Chippewa Valley Angel Investing Network is encouraged by the strides the company has made over the past 12 months.
