Absoft Corporation announced today the general availability of the Visual Numerics IMSL Fortran Numerical Library version 5.0 optimized for Linux on 64-bit Intel Xeon and AMD Opteron processors with Absoft’s new performance-leading Fortran compilers, which started shipping on Jan. 19. The IMSL Fortran Numerical Library is the gold-standard mathematical and statistical function library for Fortran programmers developing high-performance computing applications. The IMSL Fortran Numerical Library saves development time by eliminating the need to write code from scratch. Using only two or three of the IMSL Fortran Library's mathematical or statistical routines will more than pay for the product in application development time-savings alone. Absoft is the only company offering the latest version of the IMSL Fortran Numerical Library on platforms running Linux, Windows, and Mac OS X.
