Force10 Networks today announced that Korea Internet Data Center (KIDC), Korea's leading data center operator, is increasing the reliability and predictability of its managed infrastructure services with the TeraScale E-Series family of switch/routers. With industry-leading density and resiliency, the Force10 TeraScale E1200 is anchoring KIDC's 10 Gigabit Ethernet network and enabling seamless scalability as customer demand increases. Leveraging that bandwidth, KIDC is building out a resilient, secure infrastructure with the Force10 TeraScale E1200 that customers can rely upon for managed colocation and server hosting services as well as content delivery, storage hosting, mobile, outsourcing and backup services. The high Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet densities of the Force10 TeraScale E-Series, combined with unmatched resiliency, enable KIDC to reduce network complexity as well as capital and operating expenses. Supporting 1,260 Gigabit and 224 Ten Gigabit Ethernet ports per system, the TeraScale E-Series provides KIDC with the capacity to expand its network without service disruption as customers demand greater bandwidth or additional servers. Additionally, with the ability to support more than one million access control lists (ACLs) without compromising performance, the TeraScale E-Series provides KIDC with a high level of security at the core of its network.
