RAID Prices Tumble as the New Year Opens

As the New Year gets underway, the cost of RAID protected data storage looks set to fall still further this year, with one leading supplier announcing reductions hitting the £1 per Gigabyte barrier. LapiStor Ltd, a European based manufacturer of high performance and cost-effective RAID and a supplier of disk based storage solutions, has opened the New Year with price reductions right across its product range. As Tony Howard, Managing Director of LapiStor, explained “With 1TB (£1,000), 2TB (£2,000), 3TB (£3,000) and 4TB (£4,000) solutions on offer, while stocks last, and including SCSI host attachment in each case, these new low prices equate to £1 per Gigabyte. Over recent years, we have seen the cost of RAID protected storage fall steadily and I envisage that 2006 will offer stunning value to storage customers.” The company is also offering a further 10% discount on these prices to customers who commission LapiStor to undertake the installation. These discounted LapiStor solutions are available, while stocks last, via leading Distributors such as CMS, Micro P, EMEA RAID Connection and ANS.
