Simmetrix announced that Kitware, a software toolkit provider with expertise in imaging, 3D graphics, visualization and object-oriented software design, will utilize Simmetrix Inc. FieldSim components as a plugin software solution to Kitware’s ParaView scientific visualization application. FieldSim provides data access and interpolation tools for complex CAE and CFD results data. ParaView is an application designed with the need to visualize large data sets. The goals of the ParaView project are to develop an open-source, multi-platform visualization application, support distributed computation models to process large data sets, create an open, flexible, and intuitive user interface, and to develop an extensible architecture based on open standards. The addition of the Simmetrix tools will provide the ability to access CAE and CFD results data for accurate display by ParaView.
