Neterion XframeR Adapters Support Solaris 10

Neterion, Inc. (formerly S2io, Inc.), an industry pioneer in the emerging 10 Gigabit Ethernet adapter market, announced that its Xframe family of products will support the Solaris 10 Operating System (OS) for SPARC, x86 and x64 architectures. Additionally, its Xframe product line has achieved Solaris Ready Certification. Achieving the Solaris Ready status allows Neterion to display the programs logo on its Xframe products. The logo indicates to customers that Neterion's 10 Gigabit Ethernet Adapters have complete in-depth interoperability, compatibility and functionality testing on SPARC, x86 and x64 platforms running Solaris. "The 'Solaris Ready Program' ensures that our products have met some of the most stringent testing requirements in the industry for system compatibility, interoperability, ease-of-installation and functionality as defined by Sun,"said Dave Zabrowski, President and CEO of Neterion. In addition, Neterion will be working with Sun to deliver an iWARP-enabled offload engine with RDMA functionality to enhance performance and scalability in intense server/storage environments.
