Voltaire, the leader in interconnect solutions for high performance grid computing, today announced that John Asher, a seasoned executive with more than 20 years of telecommunications and networking sales experience in the European markets, has joined the company as Vice President of Sales, Europe. In this role, Mr. Asher is responsible for directing the sales of Voltaire's award-winning InfiniBand-based interconnect solutions to enterprise and high performance computing customers in Europe. IT centers in Europe, much like in the U.S. and Asia, are increasingly deploying cost-effective Linux clusters with InfiniBand interconnects to power their high performance and mission critical applications. CERN and CEA are two of many prestigious institutions in Europe that use Voltaire solutions to interconnect high performance clusters.
