Platform Computing Signs Agreement With NEC to Deliver Grid-Enabled Solutions
TOKYO -- Platform Computing announced that they have signed a comprehensive OEM agreement with NEC Corporation, in which NEC will offer Platform Computing's software on its IA Server Express5800 Series. Through this partnership, NEC will provide its customers in manufacturing, government and education with comprehensive, integrated solutions to increase productivity and performance through improved collaboration and sharing of heterogeneous compute resources across multiple domains and geographic locations within and between companies. "NEC and Platform Computing have worked together successfully for many years with customers. "With Platform Computing's solutions, we can exploit a real computing utility era and deliver true global computing. NEC will sell, install and support Platform Computing's unique suite of comprehensive solutions, including Platform LSF. NEC will also provide Platform Clusterware, the industry's first and only cluster management solution combining workload management and systems management into a single, integrated package, on Express5800 Series including cluster systems.
