JPMorgan Chase Selects Platform Symphony Distributed Computing Software

NEW YORK -- Wall Street IT Conference -- Platform Computing Inc. announced that JPMorgan, the investment banking unit of J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., has purchased Platform's latest software solution, Platform Symphony(TM). Platform Symphony manages selected, compute-intensive portions of the Investment Bank's application workload across its globally distributed technology infrastructure. Platform was selected following a formal RFP process that included eight leading software and infrastructure vendors. JPMorgan will use Platform's distributed computing and web services solutions to create an integrated, highly scalable, virtualized and shared infrastructure in order to support core front and middle office processes that have highly-demanding, compute-intensive functions. The software solution is designed to ensure that JPMorgan's mission-critical business application workload is distributed and processed according to its business priorities and time requirements.
