SALT LAKE CITY, UT -- Evans & Sutherland Computer Corporation (E&S(R)) (Nasdaq:ESCC) announced today that its new EP(TM)-1000CT visual system has been selected by KLM for a new Boeing 777 flight simulator to be installed at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport. The simulator is to be manufactured by Thales Training & Simulation Ltd. This latest order brings the total number of firm orders received by Evans & Sutherland for EP-1000CT to date to eight. Also included in these orders are options for future systems. Designed specifically to meet the exacting requirements for FAA Level D (and equivalent) turnkey commercial simulation applications, EP-1000CT offers a number of world-leading benefits. Evans & Sutherland's EP (environment processor) line of products includes training-oriented features such as detailed terrain, textured fog, and E&S's Continuous Texture(TM)(CT), which provides a high-resolution, textured backdrop to a worldwide 3D training environment. "This new product gives us a new level of visual fidelity and training benefit, and we expect this new visual to take our pilot training to a higher level of quality and effectiveness," said Captain Alex J.
