SGI Intros Workstation Video Option, Enhancing Graphics Quality

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA -- SGI (NYSE: SGI) today announced the introduction of DMediaPro(TM) DM6, a new video I/O option that is now available for both Silicon Graphics Fuel(TM) and Silicon Graphics® Octane2(TM) visual workstations. DMediaPro DM6 provides high-quality, uncompressed, standard-definition (SD) serial digital video at an attractive solution price. DMediaPro DM6 will be offered as part of the complete solution set for the Silicon Graphics Octane2 and Silicon Graphics Fuel visual workstations with industry-leading VPro(TM) V10 or V12 graphics in a single-source desktop product. This new option, which has a PCI interface, introduces video input and output options to the award-winning Silicon Graphics Fuel platform, and expands the range of DMediaPro options for Silicon Graphics Octane2.
