Rogue Wave TotalView Selected for China's National Supercomputing Centre in Shenzhen

Rogue Wave Software and Sugon announced that Rogue Wave's TotalView has been selected for installation on the Nebulae supercomputer at China's National Supercomputing Centre in Shenzhen (NSCS). Rogue Wave is the largest independent provider of cross-platform software development tools and embedded components for the next generation of HPC/High Performance Computing applications. Sugon (formerly known as Dawning Information Industry), listed this year at #7 on FastCompany's 50 Most Innovative Companies, is the People's Republic of China's leading supercomputer manufacturer.

The Nebulae is built on a Dawning TC3600 Blade System, and is ranked #4 on the Top500 list of supercomputer sites as of June 2011 ( http://top500.org/system/10484 ). It uses both Intel X5650 and NVidia Tesla C2050 GPU chipsets.

"We are very pleased to be able to provide the users of the Nebulae system at the National Supercomputing Centre in Shenzhen with a world class debugger like TotalView. The ability of TotalView to seamlessly debug across both the x86 and GPU processors at scale will help ensure high quality results," said Mr. Hua Nie, Senior Vice President at Sugon.

"I am delighted that Sugon has chosen TotalView for the users of this facility," said Scott Lasica, VP Global Alliances at Rogue Wave. "We recognize the importance of the Chinese market, and this represents a significant step in the adoption of our products at their supercomputing sites."
