Panzura Adds Amplidata to Cloud Storage Ecosystem
Panzura has added Amplidata's AmpliStor Optimized Object Storage system to the Panzura cloud ecosystem. Adding an Amplistor cloud connector to Panzura storage enables enterprises to leverage AmpliStor's robust, multi-petabyte scale storage system as a target for Panzura's comprehensive public and cloud storage solution for globally-distributed enterprises. Panzura offers seamless file storage from edge to cloud in a high-performance, secure, and cost-effective system.
"Our research confirms that enterprises are searching for a way to deal with the relentless growth of data," said Simon Robinson, research director, Storage, The 451 Group. "The Panzura cloud storage system and Amplidata's highly-scalable cloud platform offer a viable method for preserving user access to data across sites while minimizing storage costs and management overhead."
"Amplidata has developed unique object storage technology that enables petabyte-scale storage and beyond with the highest levels of durability and the lowest operating costs for our customers," said Wim De Wispelaere, CEO, Amplidata. "The addition of Panzura's technology with AmpliStor will create a powerful solution for our customers who are in need of cloud-based file storage."
The addition of Amplidata Amplistor Optimized Object Storage to the Panzura ecosystem gives Panzura customers access to a very robust, highly scalable cloud storage infrastructure based on Amplidata's BitSpread technology for enhanced data integrity. Panzura File System Controllers fit seamlessly into existing infrastructures and manage all aspects of data security, snapshot-based restore points, access control, and performance across the network.
"This year, we experienced growing interest from enterprise customers that needed seamless collaboration on file-based content at multiple sites," said Howard Dratler, CEO, Panzura. "The addition of Amplidata to our ecosystem allows Panzura customers to dramatically improve storage performance across their entire infrastructure."
