Adaptive Computing Names CFO

Adaptive Computing, managers of the world’s largest supercomputing systems and experts in cloud management and HPC workload management solutions, has announced the addition of Alan Taylor to its management team as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Adaptive hired Mr. Taylor to ensure that the company has a solid, forward-thinking, financial plan as it continues its rapid growth. Mr. Taylor will manage all financial operations for the company while ensuring all applicable accounting practices and procedures are followed.

Mr. Taylor brings more than twenty years of management and operating experience to his role as CFO. Before joining Adaptive Computing, Alan served as the CFO and then CEO of DirectPointe, a managed IT services provider. Prior to that he was the CFO of Helius, Inc. where Taylor was instrumental in getting Helius acquired by Hughes Network Systems. Mr. Taylor also served as the Director of Finance and Group Controller for the Product Development Organization at Novell, where he worked extensively in the product planning process. Prior to Novell, he held analyst and senior level positions in finance and international business development with Boeing, Ford Motor Company, and Honeywell. Mr. Taylor received his Bachelor of Science in finance and an MBA from Brigham Young University.
