Xilinx announced that leading telecommunications and networking company ZTE has named the company '2011 Best Comprehensive' Performance Award winner for outstanding technical support, quality and delivery throughout 2011.

The prestigious award was presented to Xilinx during ZTE's Supplier Day 2012 event in Shenzhen, China, where the company celebrated the commitment of its global suppliers to achieving the highest level of customer satisfaction. ZTE granted awards to suppliers in recognition of their contributions to its success during 2011 and affirming the key role suppliers will play in continuing to solidify the company's position as one of the world's top three global leaders and technology innovators in the telecommunications equipment and networking industry.

"ZTE has achieved enviable revenue growth in the extremely competitive telecommunications and networking market by taking a leading role in standardization and partnering with vendors who align with our focus on ultra-high-speed wired and wireless products," said Leslie Zhong, Director of Strategic Supplier Management at ZTE. "Xilinx has continued to score above nine on ZTE's performance scorecard and is providing a 98 percent on-time first commitment delivery."

With Xilinx FPGAs, ZTE has been able to accelerate design productivity and build better systems faster, increasing system performance, meeting stringent bandwidth requirements, reducing total power consumption, and slashing bill of materials (BOM) costs.
