Kaminario Releases White Paper on High Availability and Data Protection for High Performance SSD Storage
Kaminario announced the availability of a new white paper titled "Kaminario K2 DataProtect: High Availability and Data Protection for High Performance SSD SANs." The paper reveals how the Kaminario K2 all solid-state shared-storage SAN, with its recently announced DataProtect capabilities, provides end-to-end high availability and data protection while delivering extreme performance. Authors include Ritu Jyoti, vice president, Kaminario product management; Didi Atzmony, director, Kaminario product marketing; and Tamir Segal, director, Kaminario product management.
The white paper outlines the innovative capabilities offered by DataProtect that are integral to the Kaminario K2 system. These capabilities include no single point of failure, N+1 hardware redundancy, non-disruptive operations, automatic striping and mirroring through RAID 10HD (hybrid distributed), high-speed snapshots, and data replication.
The paper explains how DataProtect delivers its self-healing high availability and fast, high volume data protection through Kaminario's unique Scale-out Storage Performance Architecture (SPEAR), an all solid-state SAN storage design that is built from the ground up and clustered for high performance as well as enterprise-class high availability and data protection.
