IceWEB Chosen for Nationwide Call Center Enterprise's Tier 1 Mission Critical Application Storage

IceWEB announced that a national call center organization has selected IceWEB's Unified Data Storage Appliances for the customer's tier 1 applications in its mission critical data center. IceWEB 6000 Unified Storage Appliances with the IceSTORM Operating System will be deployed with high performance 15,000 RPM 6GB disk drives to run the customer's highly sensitive call center applications on Oracle databases. The IceWEB 6000 Appliances will have virtual servers running VMWare and Triple Parity RAID for maximum redundant protection and high availability. Due to the sensitive nature of the company's mission critical data, IceWEB is unable to disclose the customer name at this time.

"Our customer is a very astute user of IT and was extremely attracted to IceWEB's robust performance, advanced capabilities and price point relative to expensive vendors," said Tom Kusiak, Regional Director of Sales for Wheat Systems Integration, IceWEB's channel partner for this deal. "The value was clear. The ease of use and responsiveness of the system along with the strong sales support from IceWEB and Wheat convinced them to move in our direction. We are seeing this trend repeatedly among our customers and we anticipate a continuous stream of similar deals in the near future."

"Today's announcement continues our streak of new customer wins in the mid-market this quarter," said Steven Toole, Chief Marketing Officer at IceWEB. "Selecting IceWEB among other storage vendors clearly echoes IceWEB's superiority in unified storage appliances and manageability not only for back end storage but for tier 1 storage running mission critical applications as well. We're confident that the market is ripe for IceWEB to continue answering needs in the mid market left unmet by the large, more expensive vendors."
