SMART Storage Systems to Present on SSD Performance Benchmarking at SNW Spring 2012

WHAT: Esther Spanjer, Director, SSD Technical Marketing at SMART Storage Systems, will speak on a panel at Storage Networking World (SNW) Spring 2012, along with Dr. Easen Ho of Calypso Systems, Inc. The panel on understanding SSD performance will explain the test procedures and reporting methods of the Storage Networking Industry Alliance's (SNIA) SSD Performance Test Specification for both client and enterprise SSDs. They will also address using the SSS PTS to evaluate and compare SSD performance.

Additionally, SMART Storage Systems will demonstrate the Optimus SAS SSD at their booth #412. Optimus SSDs can endure 10 full random drive writes per day for a period of five years using commercial MLC NAND flash technology. Attendees will receive a demo of Optimus running IOMeter, which will showcase random read and random write performance, as well as receive additional information about the company's Guardian Technology Platform.
