Embrane Named 2012 “Cool Vendor” in Enterprise Communications and Network Services by Leading Analyst Firm

Embrane announced it has been recognized by Gartner as a 2012 “Cool Vendor in Unified Communications and Network Services.”

Authored by Gartner analysts Jay Lassman, Bern Elliot, Lydia Leong, Steve Blood and Robert F. Mason, the April 10, 2012 report evaluates a select few companies that are developing innovative approaches to making enterprise communications and networking services more versatile, secure and reliable.

“Embrane was founded on the premise that to deliver more agility to enterprise IT, data centers at large and the network in particular are in need of an infusion of innovation to become more dynamic,” said John Vincenzo, vice president of marketing at Embrane. “We are honored to be recognized by such a distinguished company as Gartner. We believe this designation affirms both the product innovation heleos brings to the market as well as the business innovation in our pricing structure.”

Targeted to cloud service providers (CSPs) and enterprises building internal cloud infrastructure as a service offerings (IaaS), Embrane’s heleos drives cost savings, increased efficiency and the agility of the cloud. The heleos platform dynamically scales out to power any enterprise-class virtual network service such as server load balancing, firewalls, VPNs and SSL termination. A service can be provisioned in less than a minute, allowing a faster time-to-service for end-user customers and faster time-to-revenue for CSPs. If more capacity is needed for a particular service, the services can be automatically grown in seconds. Similarly, when capacity needs to be reduced, it can be dynamically scaled back down. As a software solution that leverages any x86 server and a pay-as-you sell licensing and billing model, Embrane customers also see significant cost savings.
