Assurance Storage announces the general availability of the Assurance Guardian series of ODM storage solutions for SAN, NAS, Unified Storage and Solid-State Storage, developed with the assistance of AIC Inc.

The Guardian series includes both hardware and software, providing a "white box" series of products for channel partners interested in customized storage solutions that include branded hardware, software and GUI. Assurance Storage and AIC Inc offer a complete ODM solution, providing speed-to-market, cost-effective, high-margin platforms allowing partners to offer a wide range of their own branded storage solutions.

This unique approach of using configurable appliances as storage components is designed to provide channel partners with the flexibility to provide customizable complete storage systems to their meet a board range of their customers' requirements.
The Guardian series offers includes the Assurance Virtualization Engine, which provides an integrated management platform whether the customer wishes to deploy SAN, NAS, Unified Storage or SSD solutions. Through its easy-to-use GUI, storage administrators can easily install, configure and expand the system

End customers using the Assurance Guardian appliances gain the benefits of aligning the value of data with the value of flexible storage options combined with Assurance Storage's ApplicationSmart software, to improve performance for a variety of business critical applications such as:

•     Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) increases precision and access speed
•     Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) provides real-time data updates
•     Database Management Systems such as Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server
•     Metadata Management for large content repositories
•     Cache Management Engine for NAS / SAN storage
