AMAX Joins VMware's Rapid Desktop Program Accelerating Virtual Desktop Deployment Using NexentaVSA
AMAX announced its VDI solution integrated with VMware-proven reference architecture. Tailored for SMBs, the solution seamlessly incorporates AMAX Virtual Desktop Series servers and NexentaVSA for VMware View to accelerate VDI deployments based on VMware View with excellent cost and performance per virtual seat, and has now been certified by VMware for VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) and is accessible through the VMware View Rapid Desktop Program.
The VMware Rapid Desktop Program enables customers to quickly deploy comprehensive VDI systems, building on proven and tested reference architectures that map to real-world requirements for successful VDI deployments through VMware View. The AMAX Reference Architecture outlines the integration of system components and software and enables customers to quickly adopt and deploy pre-tested systems that meet their needs, with easy scaling options for future expansion.
"With the addition of the AMAX VD-22000n Series VDI solutions to the VMware Rapid Desktop Program, AMAX is simplifying the VDI deployment process," remarks Mason Uyeda, Director, End-User Computing Technical Marketing, VMware. "We're pleased to add AMAX as a premier partner to the VMware Rapid Desktop Program."
AMAX's reference architecture was designed to meet rapid deployment, capacity, performance, scalability and cost objectives of organizations around the world. It is based on VMware View and incorporates AMAX VD-22000n Series servers and NexentaVSA for VMware View to simplify the setup process.
The complete solution targets SMBs wanting to consolidate their IT costs and easily manage multiple user desktops and application deployment, offering a capacity of up to 100 virtual seats with upgrade options for larger deployments. Integration with AMAX's VD-22000n servers, NexentaVSA for VMware View and VMware infrastructure gives customers the ability to quickly provision new virtualization regimens and cost-effectively provide performance and scalability metrics for specific, proven reference architectures. The VD-22000n Series effectively addresses the key challenges of VDI deployment through a single dashboard with real-time analytics and offers rapid deployment of NexentaStor running as a virtual storage appliance (VSA) on VMware vSphere. The solution expedites the process of storage and desktop deployment for VDI into one console.
"We are excited to work with AMAX who are committed to our vision of enterprise class storage for everyone," said Evan Powell, CEO of Nexenta Systems. "By integrating a solution that includes hardware, VMware View VDI software and NexentaVSA for VMware View storage software, customers of all sizes can now deploy a VDI solution that is very simple to deploy, manage and configure at the best price to performance ratio."
