ETI Named 'Cool Vendor' by Gartner

Vendors selected for the “Cool Vendor” report are innovative, impactful and intriguing

E.T. International, Inc. (ETI) has been included in the list of “Cool Vendors” in the Cool vendors in High-Performance Computing and Extreme-Low-Energy Servers, 2012 report by Gartner, Inc.

Cool Vendors in High-Performance Computing and Extreme-Low-Energy Servers apply revolutionary means to address serious limits blocking the scaling of system performance, including constraints on data movement, efficient execution and feasible resource capacities. ETI is featured as one of five Cool Vendors in this category for its runtime system, SWARM (SWift Adaptive Runtime Machine).

“As the world moves increasingly toward multi-core/many-core and heterogeneous architectures, a shift in development approach is vital to ensure continued efficiency and improvement of advanced applications on these systems”, said Rich Collier, COO of ETI. “We consider our inclusion in the Cool Vendor report as recognition for ETI’s success of SWARM technology that has been developed specifically to address the performance challenges presented by the intersection of massively parallel software applications and multi-core/many-core and heterogeneous computing systems.”

ETI’s high-performance software solutions and services include SWARM performance accelerator and customized Software Performance Acceleration Services for the optimization of algorithms and scaling of programs for multi-core/many-core and heterogeneous architectures. Based in the technology of ETI’s breakthrough SWARM, ETI’s services are specifically designed to enable organizations to conquer the performance challenges presented by the intersection of massively parallel software applications and heterogeneous HPC systems.
