Talari Networks announced that its VP of Engineering John Dickey is speaking on the Interop Las Vegas 2012 panel, "How to Redesign Your WAN," moderated by Jim Metzler of Ashton, Metzler and Associates. Interop is the world's largest independent and comprehensive event for IT professionals. Interop Las Vegas 2012 is being held May 6-10 at the Mandalay Bay Hotel.

On Wed., May 9, 10:15-11:15am in the Lagoon J room, executives from a select group of industry experts will join Talari's Dickey on this fast-paced session "How to Redesign Your WAN" to discuss how the consolidation of applications and servers out of branch offices and into centralized data centers has driven an increased amount of delay-sensitive traffic over the WAN. The discussion will center around how organizations can dramatically improve their WANs to support the adoption and expansion of desktop virtualization, real-time applications, like VoIP, and enable both SaaS and IaaS.

At Talari's Booth #2431, the company is demonstrating the Mercury product line, a series of network appliances based on its proprietary Adaptive Private Networking (APN) technology. Talari helps companies around the world transform their networks by allowing additional inexpensive broadband links to be added to MPLS, IPsec VPNs, or Frame Relay-based WANs to dramatically increase bandwidth, resilience and quality for a much lower cost. Being highlighted this year is the newly introduced Mercury T510 and award-winning Mercury T750.

Talari's Mercury T750 WAN appliance for regional data centers and smaller headquarters won Best of Interop 2011-Performance Optimization. It provides business-class (99.99 percent or greater) reliability and performance by using inexpensive public WAN links, resulting in a 30-100 times gain in bandwidth per dollar for enterprise WAN customers and a monthly cost savings of 40-90 percent with greater reliability and application performance predictability than existing private WANs using single-provider MPLS services.

For the first time at Interop, Talari will be demonstrating the new Mercury T510. Designed specifically to bring WAN reliability and bandwidth efficiency to SOHO and small remote branch office environments typically served today by IPsec VPNs, Talari's Mercury T510 is based on patented technology that aggregates Internet connectivity in parallel with dynamic pathways to create a more reliable and high performance WAN. It continuously monitors and measures each path multiple times per second for latency, jitter, loss and bandwidth, then performs sub-second path decisions on a per-packet basis to direct traffic to optimum paths. Unlike conventional tools that only measure, monitor and report on network characteristics, the Mercury T510 takes mitigating action and builds a real-time map of the quality of each path within the network.
