News Facts

-- Introduced by Saba in April 2010, Saba Impressions is a new application in the Saba Performance Suite that delivers real-time performance feedback from the enterprise social network. As quick and simple to use as Twitter, Saba Impressions enables people across the organization to submit quick feedback on colleagues in an easy to use fashion. Real-time feedback and communication allow employees to dynamically align goals with corporate objectives, get proper coaching and development to improve performance on the job and to quickly make course-corrections based on immediate, contextual feedback. Unlike social conversations from stand-alone tools, feedback through Saba Impressions can be embedded into the performance processes, turning informal coaching or "kudos" into part of the formal review process.

-- Saba Impressions and Saba Performance Suite are delivered as part of Saba's People Systems which infuse social interactions, feedback, insights and learning into key people processes to help mobilize people, cultivate knowhow, and accelerate alignment.

-- With Saba Impressions, Saba is redefining the performance management process by focusing on continuous employee engagement and feedback instead of HR process automation. With Saba Impressions the performance review cycle becomes dynamic, real time and continuous, fostering a culture of high performance and making performance reviews more relevant and of higher quality.

-- According to Human Resource Executive, to be considered as a 2010 Top HR Product of 2010, products must have been released between July 1, 2009 and June 30, 2010. Winners were determined based on several factors: how innovative the product is, how much value it adds to the HR function, ease of use, and whether the product delivers on its promises.

"Human Resource Executive has been evaluating HR products and conducting this competition for 22 years," explained David Shadovitz, editor of Human Resource Executive. "Our goal has always been to identify products and services that clearly offer value to the HR community while demonstrating innovation. This solution represents the best of the HR marketplace and portrays a vision of what HR can achieve by harnessing the enterprise social network."

"We're pleased to receive this prestigious recognition from Human Resource Executive magazine," said Yvette Cameron, vice president and general manager of People Performance at Saba. "The way people work is changing and so, too, must the way we think about performance management processes. When you replace the concept of 'management' with 'engagement', this hierarchical process turns on its head to focus on people, and how their actions are valued and perceived across the enterprise. With Saba Impressions, organizations can power up their people -- helping them work better, and work together, with real time performance feedback."
