Supermicro Launches SuperRack at IDF
Super Micro Computer has announced the launch of its new SuperRack solution at the Intel Developer Forum (IDF) in San Francisco. In addition to providing exceptionally clean cable routing for maximum airflow and easy access to rear side system components, the SuperRack also offers unprecedented configurability with over 100 optional modular components to choose from.
"With the launch of our SuperRack solution, Supermicro now offers enterprises a more complete and optimized solution to meet their IT and data center needs," said Charles Liang, CEO and president of Supermicro. "Our SuperRack is equipped for easy and cost-effective customization to fulfill almost any customer rack requirements. In fact, loading a SuperRack with our 2U Twin2 (Squared) servers or Double-Sided Storage systems provides unbeatable configurations with extremely convenient and easy access to the rear side hot-swappable compute nodes, hard drives and power supplies for unmatched ease of maintenance."
Data center, high-performance computing (HPC) and server farm customers can now use Supermicro as a one-stop shop for all of their IT hardware needs. The SuperRack offers easy installation and rear access with no obstructions for hot-swap devices, user-friendly cabling and cable identification, and effortless integration of Supermicro double-density Twin family solutions.
In addition, the SuperRack offers a wide range of flexible accessory options including front, rear and side expansion units to provide modular solutions for nearly any system configuration. With a static load rating of 5,000 lbs. (2,268 kg) provided by a sturdy, fully welded construction using EIA standard 310D hardware, this solution is well equipped to support very high-density server, storage and blade systems.
Supermicro is demonstrating this solution at IDF gold sponsor booth #301 in the Moscone Center West in San Francisco, September 13-15.
