ZyXEL Launches ZyWALL USG Network Security Solutions for Small Businesses
ZyXEL Communications has announced the launch of the ZyWALL USG small business series that can offer enterprise-class security solutions for small businesses.
According to ZyXEL sources the new additions to the USG solution includes the USG20 firewall / VPN gateway, USG20W 802.11n, 3G firewall / VPN gateway and the USG50 Unified Threat Management or UTM device.
With growth in business network demand and usage also increase for enterprises. Network threats also become a menace that organizations must deal with appropriately. Small businesses, like large companies, cannot compromise on security and put their customers’ records, financial information, intellectual property and other resources at risk in this network environment.
The new ZyWALL USGs, helps these small businesses by offering an affordable, easy-to-use security solution with features that are found in solutions used by large enterprises.
The solution is powered with an integrated, high-performance security processor and a Gigabit architecture. The new ZyWALL USG small business series performs high throughput, real-time content inspection and application filtering. This solution not only protects the network against different Internet threats but also assures business operation efficiency and high network performance.
The USG20 and USG20W feature 100Mbps firewall and 30Mbps VPN performance, hybrid IPSec and SSL VPN, 3G back-up support, bandwidth management, user-aware policy management and subscription-based content filtering from BlueCoat, said company sources.
The features included in USG50 are 100Mbps firewall and 50Mbps VPN performance, hybrid IPSec and SSL VPN, bandwidth management, user-aware policy management and subscription-based security services that include content filtering from BlueCoat, anti-virus from ZyXEL or Kaspersky, and IDP from ZyXEL.
Non work-related usage of social media at the workplace reduces productivity and affect network bandwidth besides posing a serious threat to security of the business. The USG20/20W/50 series helps protect small businesses against this increased exposure to Internet threats and the USG50’s app control feature regulates network app usage by employees, thereby increasing business productivity
