Rapid attains over 300 downloads a month

In May 2007, Jano van Hemert and his team at the University of Edinburgh started the Rapid project. In under three years, they have designed and developed software that has been used to help everyone from chemists to seismologists, and have now seen their downloads reach over 300 a month. 'For a project as small and young as us, we are exceptionally proud of the [achievement]' said van Hemert 'I am sure OMII-UK had much to do with the unstoppable growth in downloads and requests'.
