Army awards Engility half billion to support communications
Company to provide research and development services to the Space and Terrestrial Communications Directorate for trusted communications and networking technologies
The contract was bid last year by Dynamics Research Corporation (DRC), which became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Engility on January 31, 2014. Engility through DRC is one of eight large prime contractors awarded the Technical, Administrative, and Operations Support Services (TAOSS) contract. CERDEC is the Army’s center with the mission to develop and integrate Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) technologies that enable information dominance and decisive lethality for the networked Warfighter.
Under the terms of the contract, Engility will lead a team of 21 companies that will support secure wireless military communications and network technologies, as well as provide research and development, engineering, logistics and business operations support for the S&TCD. The contract has a three-year period of performance with two option years.
