T-Platforms to Become the First Russian Exhibitor at International Supercomputer Conference (ISC’09)
This year, for the first time ever a Russian company will be participating in the International Supercomputer Conference (ISC) in Germany, which is one of the most important events in the world of high performance computing. Representing progress in the development of domestic high speed computing, Russian holding company T-Platforms will show its new supercomputer system's amazing performance capabilities.
"When we started our conference in Mannheim way back in 1987, the idea that a computing company from Moscow would ever participate as an exhibitor would have seemed impossible. But with the participation of T-Platforms in the largest exhibition in our history, we clearly see that the HPC community continues to grow and flourish, bringing in new ideas from around the world. We are happy to welcome T-Platforms as the first-ever ISC exhibitor from Russia and hope that this is the first step in a long and productive partnership" says Prof. Hans Meuer, ISC General Chair and co-founder of the TOP500 list of supercomputers.
At the Conference, T-Platforms is going to present to the public its recent development in high-performance computing the T-Blade 2 platform. The T-Blade 2 enables you to build systems with a performance of more than 1 PFlops (1 quadrillion floating-point operations per second). Alexey Slepukhin, Head of the New Technologies Research Department, will make a presentation dedicated to this recent development. The T-Platforms exhibition booth will present all the areas of focus of the company at once: high-performance computing solutions, expert computation services and software for supercomputer systems. The exposition booth of T-Platforms (E41) will be located in Hall 1. An additional exposition booth will be occupied by Moscow State University.
“The fact that Russian companies have started participating in events of such scale indicates that Russian high-performance computing technologies have made a huge step forward and can hold a strong place on the international market. Our company is doing everything possible to promote the development of the Russian supercomputer industry and to become a part of the international supercomputer community” says Vsevolod Opanasenko, General Director of T-Platforms.
The International Supercomputer Conference has been organized in Germany annually since 1986. While the first Conference gathered only 81 professionals, ISC’09 (taking place from June 23rd to June 26th in Hamburg) is going to attract a record number of visitors. With more than 1,500 attendees and around 120 exhibitors from all over the world ISC’09 is set to become the biggest supercomputing event in Europe.
At the ISC’09 the 33rd edition of Top500 list of most powerful supercomputers in the world will be announced.
