Seanodes Signs Topsec, Ireland's Leading IT Security & Communications Distributor

Topsec capitalizes on market interest in storage virtual appliances: Seanodes announced today an agreement with Topsec Distribution, Ireland's leading supplier of IT security and communications solutions. Topsec will distribute and configure Exanodes Standard Edition and Exanodes  VM Edition for VMware environments.

"We are eager to assist Topsec bring Exanodes based storage solutions to their market and to provide the benefits of high-end storage without its costs and complexity," said Frank Gana, Business Development Director at Seanodes. "Topsec's expertise in data management and virtualization makes them an ideal partner to carry out our message of simplicity, affordability and scalability."

"We see storage virtual appliances as a key enabling technology in the server virtualization world thanks to its cost-effectiveness and simplicity, and Exanodes is the best product we've encountered for delivering these advantages," said Colin Reid, Commercial Manager at Topsec. "Seanodes has demonstrated through many successful implementations that it is up to the challenge of supplying our largest customers, as well as small to midsized enterprises, service and solution providers."

Topsec invested time and effort in the search for the ideal storage virtual appliance for their customers. "Some have the performance and reliability, but the costs are high and the management is complex. Only Exanodes(R) had the simplicity of installation and ease of management we were looking for and had the performance and reliability we needed," Alan Roche, Technical Services Manager at Topsec.

Exanodes is ideal for small to mid-sized businesses that are transitioning to network storage, high-performance computing, and hosted storage services such as cloud computing that need to maximize capacity, reliability and performance at a lower cost than traditional network storage. Exanodes creates a virtualized storage pool that leverages server-attached storage assets and makes them available as part of a shared, scalable, and resilient storage network and enables companies to maximize the ROI of their current storage technology. Deploying an Exanodes-based storage back end allows companies running VMware for server virtualization to derive the same cost, flexibility, simplicity and other benefits in a fully virtualized computing infrastructure.
