InfiniBand accelerates Dawning 5000A HPC system
Mellanox Technologies and Dawning Information Industry Co., Ltd. today announced that ConnectX 20Gb/s InfiniBand adapters and InfiniScale III InfiniBand switch silicon provide the optimal low latency, high-performance interconnect for Dawning's innovative and highly scalable computing platforms. This high-performance, high-density, blade server platform is the foundation for the 5000A, China's most powerful supercomputer achieving a peak performance of 160 teraflops, or 160 trillion calculations per second. ConnectX adapters deliver the highest data throughput and lowest latency of any industry-standard PCI Express adapter available today, thereby accelerating applications and data transfers in High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments.
