OptimaNumerics, the leading provider of high performance numerical software, today announced that Dr John M Parkinson has been appointed as the Chairman of the Board. Dr Parkinson is a veteran in the high performance computing industry, having held senior management positions in both hardware and software companies, including Silicon Graphics, Netmap, Apollo and PRIME. He was among the initial technical team at NAG Ltd. At Silicon Graphics, Dr Parkinson held several senior management roles including EMEA Director for Channel Sales and European Marketing Director.
