OptimaNumerics names John Parkinson as Chairman of the Board

OptimaNumerics, the leading provider of high performance numerical software, today announced that Dr John M Parkinson has been appointed as the Chairman of the Board. "John's skills and experience in the high performance computing market serving the most demanding customers will be invaluable in guiding the company to its next level of strength." Dr Parkinson is a veteran in the high performance computing industry, having held senior management positions in both hardware and software companies, including Silicon Graphics, Netmap, Apollo and PRIME. He was among the initial technical team at NAG Ltd. At Silicon Graphics, Dr Parkinson held several senior management roles including EMEA Director for Channel Sales and European Marketing Director.
