The technical project manager will provide coordination and leadership for the development and implementation of the NCSA Blue Waters project. This position will also be responsible for integrating short-term tactical directions, long-range strategic directions of the project, establishing goals and timelines with project staff, and ensuring that staff and resources are directed efficiently toward achieving these goals within the specified timelines. This individual will be responsible for providing overall project planning and execution support to the Blue Waters project. Qualifications * BA/BS in technical or business-related field required, Master's preferred. Alternative degree fields will be considered/accepted if accompanied by equivalent experience (depending on nature and depth of experience as it relates to current NCSA technologies) * 7 or more years' experience in project management/program management in a complex work environment (dealing with all levels of the organization, vendor management/relations, able to collaborate with other institutions and engineering management skills) * Experience in high-performance computing or similar technical field * Experience in developing and executing long-range and short-range work/budget plans and schedules * Experience in managing multi-disciplinary tasks * Experience in making public presentations to diverse audiences This is an academic professional position with regular University benefits.
