Required skills: High Performance Computing, management including Systems, Administration, Networking, , System Security and Facilities, Engineering. Desired skills: High Performance Computer, Operations in a complex, Network enterprise and, integration of complex HPC, systems and networks. Specific Job Description: Bachelors Degree from an accredited college in a related discipline with 12 years High Performance Computing experience. Comprehensive knowledge of IBM RS/6000 SP4+, SP4 and SP3 systems, SUN ENTERPRISE 10000 and 15000 systems and large scale (Terabyte/Petabyte) Disaster Recovery/Archival Storage Management is required. Must have demonstrated expertise in Management of Information Technology-Systems Administration and storage technology and retrieval systems. Additional qualifications include demonstrated expertise of infrastructure systems: networking, systems security, computer operations. Excellent customer/user interaction skills will be necessary to successfully address the assignments for this position. Candidate must possess at least 2+ years of supervisory management experience of HPC systems personnel. The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for the management of Systems Administration of all HPC MSRC systems software. Will be accountable to the Program Manager. Applies knowledge of high performance computing systems, operations and processes to oversee the successful administration of the MSRC, high performance computing systems. Will be responsible for system programming, installation, testing, documenting, implementation, conducting research for, and maintaining enterprise-wide computer systems. Analyzes internal or external customers needs, and determines equipment and software requirements for solutions to problems. Will provide solutions to customer/user problems. Establishes system parameters and formats, ensures hardware and software compatibility.
