Cray appoints Andrew Wyatt VP of Asia Pacific region

Cray today announced the appointment of Andrew Wyatt to the position of vice president for its Asia Pacific region. Mr. Wyatt will be responsible for sales, service and customer support activities across the territory. "Andy brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and understanding of the Asia Pacific region, as well as specific experience working with HPC customers," said Peter Ungaro, president and CEO of Cray. "Cray's international presence is growing rapidly and Andy's experience will be a great compliment to our strong product offerings in the supercomputing arena, helping to get our solutions out to the broader Asia Pacific community." Andrew comes to Cray with 20 years of experience in HPC across Asia and Australia. This includes former positions as regional manager with Cray Research Australia (1989 to 1995), and with Silicon Graphics, Inc. (1995 to 2006), where he served as the HPC business director for Asia Pacific. Andrew has held recent positions in Taibei, Shanghai and Bangalore, all directed towards high technology diffusion into the Asian region. Mr. Wyatt will be based in Melbourne, Australia and will manage operations across Cray's Asia Pacific region which includes Australia, India, Korea, New Zealand, China and other countries across Asia. Japan will continue to be managed by the president of Cray Japan, Inc., Mamoru Nakano.
