ISC '07 Draws Record Number of Exhibitors

Advance registration for Europe's premier Supercomputing conference ends May 26: As many as 90 exhibitors representing industry, universities and research centers from Europe, Asia, and North America are expected to fill the Congress Center in Dresden when the 2007 International Supercomputing Conference (ISC '07) convenes June 26 - 29. More than one month prior to the start of the conference, registered exhibitors already total 78, a new record. Based on past years' experiences, conference organizers expect a number of exhibitors to register in late May and in June, and they expect the final number of exhibitors for ISC '07 to reach about 90. "This is the largest exhibition in Europe devoted to supercomputing and it offers a unique opportunity to learn about the latest supercomputing trends, see the most advanced products and talk to the people in research and industry who are pushing supercomputing innovation," said ISC '07 Chairman Prof. Hans Meuer of the University of Mannheim. "With the move to Dresden last year, we saw a big jump in the number of exhibitors and we are happy we will have even more this year." The ISC '07 exhibition hall opens Tuesday evening, June 26, and exhibits will remain open through Thursday, June 28. On the exhibit floor, some of the world's best known technology companies will showcase cutting-edge supercomputing hardware, software, and middleware, including the best massively parallel and cluster computing systems, high-density blade systems, server and storage architectures, networking and interconnect solutions, HPC performance and manageability solutions, visualization systems and collaborative technologies. A number of research centers and universities will feature information on cutting-edge research projects, and demonstrations will highlight the use of high performance computing and visualization in fields as varied as racecar design and the life sciences. ISC '07, Europe's premier supercomputing event, will be held June 26 - 29 in Dresden under the theme "Exploring the Frontiers of Supercomputing."
