ANSYS CEO Named One of 10 Top Leaders in Southwestern Pennsylvania Business

Pittsburgh Business Times Diamond Award Recognizes James Cashman for Accomplishments: ANSYS, a global innovator of simulation software and technologies designed to optimize product development processes, today announced that its President and Chief Executive Officer, James E. Cashman III, has been honored with a Diamond Award, a recognition program sponsored by the Pittsburgh Business Times. The prestigious program honors the accomplishments of 10 southwest Pennsylvania presidents/CEOs as chosen by a panel of distinguished judges. Cashman was one of five winners in the Established Business Category, which includes companies or organizations that are at least 10 years old. In selecting the winners, judges considered information submitted on the nominees' behalf, which included letters of support from other business leaders as well as details on the CEO's customer service philosophy, relationship with employees, leadership style, contributions to the community, company performance and impact on products/services. "It is an honor to be selected to represent ANSYS with this recognition," said Jim Cashman of his being named a Diamond Award recipient. "It reflects positively on all our employees as well. Together we have taken the combination of engineering and computational power and leveraged it into global and influential best practices for engineering simulation. I'm proud to be part of a company that may one day bring this kind of technology to the desktop of every engineer." Cashman, who has been with ANSYS since 1997, accepted the tribute at an awards ceremony on April 18, 2007. This is the inaugural year for the Pittsburgh Business Times Diamond Award, a program open to businesses in Pittsburgh as well as throughout southwestern Pennsylvania.
