LCI student poster competition closes Friday

For the first time, the LCI International Conference on High Performance Clustered Computing is offering cash prizes to student entries in the poster presentation category. The conference will be held May 15-17 in South Lake Tahoe, California. Students are invited to submit posters displaying advanced research or production environment implementations related to high-performance clustered computing. Proposed posters will be selected by the Program Committee on the basis of a brief description (100 to 300 words) of the work. A dedicated, scheduled Poster interaction will allow conference attendees to discuss the technical poster displays with presenters in a casual setting. Thus, posters are an excellent opportunity to convey emerging ideas and new results not sufficiently developed for a full technical publication. Also, of very high interest are technical posters focused on production environment implementations which may be too sensitive for a detailed technical paper. Suggested topics of potential interest include but are not limited to: reliability metrics and measurement techniques, new innovations in cluster architectures; parallel and distributed algorithms; performance evaluation, modeling, and workload characterization; software development environments and tools; heterogeneous cluster capabilities and management aspects; scalable visualization and digital processing/rendering via high-performance clusters.
