Visual Numerics Presents Complimentary Web Seminar on HPC Trends

Visual Numerics, Inc., a leading provider of numerical analysis and visualization software, will present a complimentary 60-minute Web seminar designed to address an increasing trend in high performance computing today -- the growth of distributed computing architectures. This seminar will also describe and illustrate the IMSL Numerical Libraries' parallel computing features, including the use of OpenMP and MPI. Speakers will provide examples of how to use these features to simplify and speed development of high performance computing applications. In addition, the seminar will show how the IMSL Libraries are optimized on specific compilers and how they can leverage other components of a distributed parallel computing environment to improve application performance. Fredrick Doolittle, product manager, IMSL product family and Tim Leite, director, education programs will present on Tuesday, December 6, 2005 from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. PT.
