Streamline Computing announced that Dr John Taylor, our good friend and well-respected figure in supercomputing, has joined the company as the Chief Technology Officer for its cluster business. John has previously held senior technical and commercial management positions at Quadrics, Meiko Scientific and Concurrent Systems. Streamline Computing, the UK's leading provider of high performance Linux clusters and producer of the world's most efficient gigabit clusters, has announced the appointment of Dr John Taylor to the company as its Chief Technology Officer for its HPC cluster business. John brings more than 20 years technical and commercial experience within the high performance computing (HPC) sector to Streamline and will be responsible for continuing the company's strategy and growth within the supercomputing markets. "John brings over 20 years of experience in product marketing, and development and a strong technical marketing ability to quickly evaluate the potential of new markets and offer high value propositions" said Dr Richard Groves, COO of Streamline Computing. "With John on board, Streamline has reaffirmed its investment in outstanding people who really understand HPC technology to enable the company to provide HPC solutions that are second to none. John will add a significant strategic element to Streamline as the company continues to develop its high value offerings in the HPC and enterprise space". John took his first degree and PhD in physics and material science at Warwick University and will work from Streamline's headquarters in Warwick, UK.
