Think Computer Products to Demonstrate ThinkTank Q-Cluster TG

Think Computer Products will be demonstrating the ThinkTank Q-Cluster TG November 9th through the 11th at the Supercomputing 2004 conference in Pittsburgh, PA, in Mellanox Technologies booth # 835. The latest ThinkTank Q-Cluster TG demonstrates the extreme high performance capabilities of ThinkCP's linearly scaleable storage-cluster solutions leveraging the AMD Opteron processors in a 3(cluster-nodes) X 3 (storage nodes) configuration, using embedded Mellanox Technology Infiniband, 3Ware Escalade SATA/RAID high performance drive controllers, Iwill mainboards and Terrascale's Terragrid addressing 14 Terrabytes of dual-striped RAID storage under Global Unified Name Space Linux conventions. The Terrascale Terragrid software engine enables existing serial applications to become high-performance, linearly scalable and massively parallel solutions that run on conventional Linux servers and networks, as opposed to highly proprietary hardware married with esoteric software. Terragrid enables the cluster to achieve wire-speed I/O rates while co-existing with the rich suite of open source Linux software. Integrating TerraGrid into their clusters will enable Think Computer Products to provide increased I/O performance, a unified namespace and linear scalability to its existing and future clients. Terrascale's Terragrid is the industry's fastest and most resilient I/O platform, having previously received Best Database Solution at Linuxworld in August of 2004. Mellanox will be exhibiting the soon to be released 20Gb & 60Gb Infiniband Technologies planned for release in the first quarter of 2005, at which time Think Computer Products will adopt the new standards in the ThinkTank Q-Cluster Solutions, and pending testing expects to push the I/O to the highest extent of the interconnect using the IBTA's DDR & QDR modes of operation. The demonstration is an example of ThinkCP's hpc computing, storage and networking solutions. The core system used for the ThinkTank Q-Cluster TG can be modified to accommodate hpc IP SAN and scalable NAS solutions, and easily accommodates additional storage and cluster nodes without compromising overall performance. ThinkCP also designs a wide array of various hpc solutions in their ISO 9001:2000 configuration facilities for the needs of higher education, various labs, government, entertainment, financial and other industries. ThinkCP often supports MAS schedule and BPA requirements with custom built solutions.
