Terrascale Technologies, an innovative developer of next generation input/output (I/O) software, today announced an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partnership with Western Scientific, a global provider of high-performance storage and computing solutions. Western Scientific is launching TeraFS, a new global parallel file system powered by Terrascale’s TerraGrid software. TeraFS will be integrated with Western Scientifics’ FusionSA, TeraBLADE and KiloCLUSTER product lines. These high performance turnkey storage and computing solutions are able to sustain unprecedented levels of linearly scalable I/O performance, while providing parallel access to unified pools of data - at a fraction of the cost of competing solutions.
