Cray Inc. Elects Sally G. Narodick to Board of Directors

Cray Inc. today announced that the Board of Directors has elected Sally G. Narodick as a member of the Board. Ms. Narodick will serve on the Board's Audit Committee. Ms. Narodick is a retired educational technology and e-learning consultant. From 1998 to 2000, she served as Chief Executive Officer of Apex Online Learning, an Internet educational software company. Previously, Ms. Narodick served as an education technology consultant, both independently and for the Consumer Division of IBM from 1996 to 1998. From 1989 to 1996, Ms. Narodick served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Edmark Corporation, an educational software company sold to IBM in 1996. From 1973 to 1987, she served in a variety of financial management capacities at Seafirst Corporation and Seafirst Bank, and was a securities analyst at Paine Webber from 1970 to 1973. She also serves as a Board member of Penford Corporation, Puget Sound Energy, Inc., Solutia Inc. and SumTotal System. A graduate of Boston University, Ms. Narodick earned an M.A. in Teaching from Columbia University and an M.B.A. from New York University.
