Cray Receives $62 Million in Orders for Cray X1 Systems from U.S. Government

SEATTLE--Global supercomputer leader Cray Inc. reported that it has received orders valued at approximately $62 million for Cray X1(TM) equipment and related services from the U.S. Government. Shipments are scheduled to commence later this month and continue through October 2003. No other contract details were disclosed. "The U.S. Government has been a significant supporter of Cray and our product roadmap," said James Rottsolk, CEO and Chairman of Cray Inc. "These significant orders demonstrate its continuing confidence in Cray and in the new Cray X1 system."
