NAG awarded special accolade at the world's largest HPC show

The Numerical Algorithms Group (NAG), developer of world class mathematical, statistical and visualization software components will be presented with a special accolade for 20 consecutive exhibits at the world’s largest show dedicated to High Performance Computing (HPC) at SC2008 in November. NAG is one of a handful of organizations out of thousands that have attended the event in the last 20 years that will be recognized in this way. To achieve such longevity in an industry which moves faster than any other on the planet reflects NAG’s long term commitment to continually evolving its world-class numerical algorithm libraries for HPC together with a globally renowned HPC service. NAG’s expert capabilities in HPC include offering highly tuned subsets of its core product, the NAG library, which enables faster application development and more accurate results plus a dedicated team of computational and numerical experts for external collaborations and projects. NAG’s most recent notable commitment to HPC is being an official partner to the UK’s national supercomputing project HECToR (High End Computing Terascale Resource), providing Computational Science and Engineering (CSE). The SC2008 Committee Chair will be presenting NAG with this accolade by way of a 10 minute presentation at this years’ show, taking place later this month in Austin Texas, on 17 November at 17.10. Also at the event, Andrew Jones, VP HPC Business at NAG will be presenting ‘How Engineering and Science of Computation Provides a Better Return from HPC’. Other members of NAG’s highly experienced technical and commercial team will be available at Booth 1621.
